A School Community That Includes You

We believe a child’s care and education are strongest when parents and teachers work together. At The Community School of The Park Cities, parents are not just kept informed from a distance — they are welcomed as an important part of our school community.

We value what parents have to share about their children and encourage families to stay connected with their child’s classroom and teachers. Parents are welcome to visit, spend time in the classroom, read with the children, and take part in activities throughout the year.

There are also plenty of opportunities to get to know the other families who make our school special. From social gatherings to parent work days and teacher appreciation activities, there are many ways to pitch in, meet new people, and make a difference.

Our parent group helps bring many of these activities to life and meets regularly to plan ways to support the school, teachers, and families. Parent meetings may also include guest speakers and conversations about parenting and topics related to children’s growth and development.

We know every family is different, and we welcome families of all shapes and sizes. Our goal is to create a community where everyone feels comfortable being involved in a way that works for them.
