Our Programs

A Place to Grow at Every Stage

The Community School of The Park Cities is a small, nonprofit school offering full-time and part-time childcare for children from six weeks through five years old.

From those first days away from home to the excitement of getting ready for kindergarten, we give children a caring place to learn, play, make friends, and become more independent. Our teachers take the time to get to know each child and provide experiences that are appropriate for where they are in their development.

    Infants

    A Gentle Beginning

    The first years are full of little discoveries. Our infant program provides a warm, responsive environment where babies can feel safe and cared for while they begin exploring the world around them.

    We pay attention to each child's individual routines, needs, and cues, giving them plenty of one-on-one interaction, sensory experiences, and opportunities to explore at their own pace.

    Toddlers

    Room to Explore and Become Independent

    Toddlers are busy discovering who they are and what they can do. Our program gives them the freedom to explore while providing the guidance and support they need along the way.

    Through play, conversation, hands-on activities, and everyday classroom experiences, children can practice communicating, making choices, interacting with friends, and becoming more independent.

    Preschool

    Learning Through Play and Discovery

    Preschool is a time when children's curiosity really begins to shine. Our teachers provide opportunities for children to explore new ideas, ask questions, create, solve problems, and learn alongside their classmates.

    Children build early literacy and other foundational skills through a balance of teacher-guided activities and plenty of time for play, creativity, and social connection.

    Getting Ready for What Comes Next

    As children get closer to kindergarten, they are ready to take on new challenges and responsibilities. Our Pre-K program builds on the skills they have developed while giving them opportunities to practice independence, think through problems, communicate with others, and feel confident in their abilities.
