About Our School
The Community School of The Park Cities is a small, nonprofit childcare center in the Park Cities neighborhood of Dallas, Texas. For more than 20 years, we have welcomed children and families into a warm, caring environment where children can feel safe, build relationships, and enjoy learning.
We believe children do best when they have the opportunity to form strong, trusting relationships with the adults who care for them. That is why we practice relationship-centered childcare, with children remaining with the same teacher for approximately one year to eighteen months. Having a familiar teacher by their side gives children time to feel secure, build confidence, and develop a genuine sense of belonging in their classroom.
Our approach is also individualized. We consider each child’s needs, interests, and developmental level when planning their learning experiences. Children move from one classroom to the next when they are ready, with thoughtful transitions that help them feel comfortable and confident about what comes next.
Our teachers bring years of childcare experience to their work, and many have college degrees in early childhood education or a related field. We also believe in supporting our teachers as they continue to learn, grow, and strengthen their skills.
As a nonprofit organization, we are able to keep our focus on what matters most: our children, our families, and the educators who care for them every day.
